Frequently asked questions

What is a Cherished Memory Fund?

A Cherished Memory Fund is an online memorial space to honour the life of someone that has died. It's somewhere to share memories, photos and videos while raising funds for Marie Curie.

How do I set up a Cherished Memory Fund?

It's quick and easy to set up a fund in memory of a loved one. Simply click "Create your page" to get started. You'll need to create an account, and enter the details of your loved one and any information or photos you'd like to include. You'll then have a unique URL to share with others.

How will people know about my Cherished Memory Fund?

You'll have a unique URL that you can share with friends and family, who can also donate, leave memories or add their own fundraising event. Feel free to share the link on social media.

How long will my fund remain open?

Your Cherished Memory Fund will remain open indefinitely, unless you choose to deactivate the page. Many people find solace in revisiting their page on birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions year after year.

How can I see who has contributed to my Cherished Memory Fund?

You'll see a running list of all the donations made on your page, except where donors have chosen to remain anonymous.

Do I need to create an account?

You need an account if you're setting up a new Cherished Memory Fund page, so that you can log back in later to make changes. You don't need an account to make a donation on an existing page.

Can Gift Aid be claimed on donations?

Yes, Gift Aid can be claimed on donations to Cherished Memory Fund pages as long as the donation is your own money, you're not receiving anything in return for the gift, and the Gift Aid box is ticked.

Can I send in donations instead?

Yes. Cash and cheque donations can be sent to:
