Remembering our Dad, Bobby Magee - 25 years on

Total raised

Offline: £20.00

On Christmas Day, 1999, our hearts were broken as our Daddy, Bobby Magee, lost his battle with cancer. Deborah was just 11 and I, Robert, was 6 - five days before my 7th birthday. He left behind a young widow and a wider, loving Magee family - all of us distraught in his absence.

Our Dad spent his final day in the care of staff at Marie Curie's Belfast hospice who made things as comfortable as possible for him. In the weeks and months after his passing, the care of Marie Curie extended to our family, giving us invaluable bereavement support and helping us as children make sense of the most tragic of events.

This year, we want to raise as much money as possible for Marie Curie, through a number of different events, as a 'thank you' and to help their invaluable work that they provide to families dealing with cancer.

***Our main event will be walking the 16 miles from Belfast City Hall to Whitehead on Saturday 15th June.***

Please help us support this fantastic charity.

Thank you,

Deborah & Robert
