In loving memory of Peter, a cherished husband to Jasmine, father to Susan and Hazel, brother to Pat and Bob and granddad to 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peter grew up in Harlesden with his mum and dad, Rose and William, and his two siblings. At the age 18 he served in the army, where he made some lifelong friendships.

Upon returning, his life took a whimsical turn at Iron-lights in Willesden, where a works outing introduced him to Jasmine King, marking the start of their lifelong journey together. Their marriage in 1958 blossomed into a loving family with daughters Susan and Hazel. The early struggles, including briefly residing in Brixton and Chiswick, culminated in purchasing their first home in Gravesend, Kent, and later settling in Acton, which is still our family home to this day.

During his career as a draftsman he initiated a rambling club which reflected his love for nature and his knack for bringing people together. The club's expeditions across the UK, especially the treasured walks in the Dales of Yorkshire and Staffordshire and along the Pennine Way, became a part of his legacy, often shared with his grandchildren.

As a grandfather to Laura, Jemma, Daniel, Christopher, Hayley, Joel, Lewis, and Hannah, and a great-grandfather to 16 children, Peter's role extended far beyond fatherhood. He was a pillar of strength, love, and guidance.

In his later years, he suffered from various health issues which gradually deteriorated up his death in January 2024. During his last days, the Marie Curie nurses were an invaluable source of support to not just Peter but the whole family. These dedicated nurses provided not only medical assistance but also emotional support, ensuring Peter's comfort and dignity. Their presence allowed the family to make the most of their time with him, creating a nurturing environment filled with love and respect. The nurses' commitment to palliative care, often going beyond the call of duty, provided a sense of peace and solace to Peter and his family, making a profound difference.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that will be held close to the hearts of his family and friends.
